View graduation requirements for a group of students

Review your students' progress toward fulfilling their graduation requirements.

Example: You want to see how many juniors need more math credits in order to graduate.
Important: The Graduation Progress report must be run, with the Create history field enabled, before using this view. To ensure this data is up-to-date, run the Graduation Progress report regularly, such as once per quarter.
Note: A student can be assigned more than one program of study. For each program of study, the student has one set of Graduation Requirement History records per school year.

To view graduation requirements for a group of students:

  1. Log on to the District (Root Organization), Intermediate Organization or School view.
  2. Click the Schedule tab, and then click Graduation History.
  3. Click Search icon. at Programs of Study. The Graduation Program pick list displays the programs of studies defined by the district. Select a program of study, and then click OK.
  • The page displays students associated with the selected program of study. Students with an enrollment status of Active or Active no primary, that are assigned to the selected program of study or have no assigned program of study, appear:
  1. Manage your field sets to display information you want to review in the first few columns. The other columns are:
    • Notes. Click Enter Text icon. to enter graduation history notes. These notes are stored on the student record and can be reviewed year after year, even if the student changes schools.
    • Total Credits Gained, which are the number of credits, including extra credits, the student has earned for the program of study.
    • Completed Status codes (as defined by the district on the Graduation History Status Codes reference table) for each top level requirement of the program of study, and whether or not they have been met.
  1. Refine the results by clicking Change Filter. Use the table to enter information in the fields:

    Click the drop-down to select Overall or a specific program of study requirement.

    Status

    Click Search icon. to see the Reference Code - Common pick list. Select a completed status code for the requirement.

    Student

    Grade Level

    To filter the results by grade, click the drop-down and select a grade.

  1. Click OK.
  1. Select a student and click the Details side-tab to see that student's graduation requirement status.
    Note: The system administrator can customize the status values and cell colors displayed in the Completed Status and requirements columns (District view, Admin > Data Dictionary > Reference > select the Graduation History Status Codes table > Codes > Local code field).
    Note: In the Local code field, enter the percent needed to earn this status, followed by the color code used when the status is displayed. Use the following format:
    <number between 0-100 representing the percent completed>:#<6-hex digit color code>
    Example100:#98FB98 indicates 100% of the requirement must be completed, and display the cell in bright green.
