Entering Staff Attendance

When entering staff attendance records in Aspen, it is assumed that all staff members are present, so you only have to work with individuals who are absent, late, or leaving early.

Use one of the following methods to enter staff attendance:

• In the School view, enter daily absent, late, or dismissal codes for staff members, and assign substitutes.
• In the District, Intermediate Organization, School, or Personnel view, view and enter attendance records for staff members one at a time.
• In the District, Intermediate Organization, or Personnel view, enter attendance for staff in pre-defined district staff attendance groups.
• In the District, Intermediate Organization, School, or Personnel view, view the attendance history for all staff members.
• Create substitute teachers in Aspen to assign coverage in the system. A teacher assigned to cover a class for another teacher can take and submit attendance for that class in the Staff view.

  Note: You can create associations between substitute teachers and the schools where they will provide coverage.
