Enable fields for mass update

If you have appropriate privileges, you can mass update information on list pages in Aspen. Mass updating quickly enters the same value in a field for all the records in the list.

Before you can mass update a field, you must enable the field for mass updates in the Data DictionaryClosed organizes the tables and fields that house all of your district's administrative information.

To enable a field for mass updates:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Click the Admin tab.
  3. Click the Data Dictionary side-tab.
  4. Determine the table the field is in, and select the checkbox next to that table.
  5. On the Data Dictionary side-tab, click Fields. The list of fields the table contains appears.
  6. Click the field name in the Name column. The information for the field appears.
  7. Select the Mass update checkbox.
  8. Click Save.
