Associate a grid code with schools

After you define a grid code, associate it to the schools that students who live within the grid code should attend.

For example, if a grid code is based on a range of address numbers on a street, such as Main Street 1-351, associate the elementary school, middle school, and high school students who live within Main Street 1-351 should attend.

To associate a grid code with schools:

1. Log on to the District view.
2. Click the District tab.
3. Click the Grid Codes side-tab.
4. Filter the codes on the list to include only those codes you want to associate to a specific school.
5. On the Options menu, click Assign to school. The Assign School to Grid Code pop-up appears:

   The number of records currently on the list page appears.

6. Click to select the school you want to associate to the grid codes on the list page.
7. Select Add to add this school to the grid codes, or Remove to remove this school from the grid codes.
8. Click OK.
