Copy sections from an existing schedule

For schools that use the same master schedule each year and make minor changes, they can copy sections from any previous year to help create a master schedule.

To copy sections from a previous year's scenario or the active schedule to the Workspace tab:

  1. Log on to the Build view.
  2. Click the Workspace tab.
  3. On the Options menu, click Copy Sections. The Copy Sections pop-up appears.
  4. Select the year you want to copy sections from.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Select Active schedule if you want to copy sections from the selected year’s active schedule. Then, select the schedule name at the Schedule Name field.
    • Select Build scenario if you want to copy sections from the selected year. Then, select the scenario at the Schedule Name field.
  1. Select the Copy All Sections checkbox if you want to copy all sections from that year’s master schedule. Otherwise, you need to select the individual checkboxes of the sections you want to copy.
  2. Select the Replace existing checkbox if you want to replace any existing sections on the Workspace tab.
  3. Click OK. The system copies the sections you select to the Workspace tab. Now, you can edit those sections any way you need to, and load students.
