Verify expression

After you define your expression in Aspen, but before you use the rules, use the Verify Expressions option to ensure the syntax is correct and valid.

To validate an expression:

1. Log on to the District view.
2. Select Admin > Data Dictionary.
3. Select the table from which the expression is attached.
4. Under Tables, click Validations.
5. Click the expression ID.
6. Select Options> Verify Expressions.
7. If the expression is valid, the following message appears and the rule can be used:
