View the email log

Use the email log to review a list of emails sent by Aspen users through Send Email on the Options menu. The log contains records for messages sent from the District, Intermediate Organization, School, Staff, Health, Personnel, and Special Education views.

From the log, you can see the details of a particular email that was sent.

The email log is scoped by view:

District

District and its associated intermediate organizations and schools.

Intermediate Organization

Intermediate organization and its associated schools.

School

School.

To view the email log:

  1. Log on to the District, Intermediate Organization, or School view.
  2. Click the Admin tab, and then click the Logs side-tab.
  3. Click Email Log.
  4. Use the Filter menu Filter icon. to view records for the following:
    • Today (default)
    • This Week
    • This Month
    • All Records
  • For each record, the list displays the following:
  • Field

    Description

    Date

    Date the email was sent.

    Time

    Time the email was sent.

    Subject

    Text from email's Subject line.

    Name

    User who sent the email. If the email was sent via an automated job, the user who created the job appears here.

    Total Recipients

    Number of people who received the email.

    Recipients

    Email address of the recipient.

    Owner

    Organization from which the email was sent.

To review an email's details:

  1. Select the checkbox in the row of the email you want to review.
  2. On the side-tab, under Email Log, click Details. The email's details page appears.

In addition to the information in the table above, the details page displays the email's message, and lists any attachments that were sent. It is not possible to open the attachment.
