Define lunch count preferences

You can define lunch count preferences for an intermediate organization and a school. These determine if and how teachers or office staff enter lunch counts when they enter attendance for the day.

To define lunch count preferences:

  1. Select one of the following:
    • For an intermediate organization: Log on to the Intermediate Organization view. Click the associated tab, and on the Setup side-tab, click Preferences.
    • For a school: Log on to the School view. Click the School tab, and click Preferences on the Setup side-tab.
  1. Click the Category drop-down to select Lunch Counts. The Lunch Counts Preferences page appears:

  1. Select the Take lunch counts checkbox if you want staff members to enter lunch counts when they enter attendance. Otherwise, leave this checkbox blank.
  2. In the Lunch count 1-10 fields, enter the types of counts you want users to enter. For example, you might enter Hot, Milk, and A la carte.
  3. Note: You can run the Lunch Counts report so the cafeteria staff know how many lunches to prepare for the day.
