Allow users to manage reference tables and reference codes

The Aspen system administrator at your root organization needs to be able to manage reference tables and reference codes. He or she can then give some users the ability to add and manage reference tables or the reference codes associated with reference tables.

To give specified user roles the ability to add and manage reference tables:

  1. Log on to the District (Root Organization) view.
  2. Click the Admin tab, Security side-tab.
  3. Select the user role to which you want to add this privilege, and click Details.
  4. Use the Category drop-down to select District.
  5. At the Security Access table, in the System Table column, select the appropriate checkboxes next to Reference Table.
  6. Click Save.

Some users, such as a school administrator, might not have the ability to manage reference tables, but need to manage the reference codes associated with reference tables.

To give specified user roles the ability to add and manage reference codes:

  1. Log on to the District (Root Organization) view.
  2. Click the Admin tab, Security side-tab.
  3. Select the user role to which you want to add this privilege, and click Details.
  4. Use the Category drop-down to select District.
  5. At the Security Access table, in the System Table column, select the appropriate checkboxes next to Reference Code-Common.
  6. Click Save.
