Managing the IEP Goal Bank

Aspen contains two goal banks to store IEPClosed Individualized Education Program goals that you or many users in your district use frequently:

  • The district goal bankClosed a collection of goal text with objectives that you use often contains goals that are available to all users. The Aspen system administrator manages this goal bank.
  • The user goal bank contains goals that are only available to the user who writes them and are owned by the user. They save you time when you are frequently writing the same or similar goals for students while you work on your IEPs. You can save the goals you use often, along with any attached objectives, to quickly select and edit for your students.

Users who have the security privilege to manage the district goal bank can add goals to the district goal bank as they write them for a specific IEP, or in the Admin tab, District Goal Bank side-tab.

Note: Some districts or states do not use the goal bank.
