Committing the Master Schedule

After you complete building and re-working your master schedule, commit the schedule. This schedule appears in the School view once the school year is set for the district.

Note: Before committing your schedule, be sure to map any user-defined fields you want copied to the master schedule in the Build scenario preferences.

To commit a master schedule for the upcoming school year:

  1. Log on to the Build view. If your current school has multiple schedule modes, select Build > Both.
  2. Click the Scenario tab.
  3. Select the appropriate scenario, and click the Details side-tab.
  4. On the Options menu, click Commit Schedule.The Commit Schedule pop-up appears.
  5. Select if you want to replace the active schedule with the scenario, or update the active schedule with any new changes to the scenario. If you select Update the active schedule, determine if you want to update the existing schedule or only add new sections from the scenario.
  6. Note: If your district defines commit control windows, you can commit the schedule during the defined date ranges only. Also, you cannot commit until the End of Year Rollover is complete, you set start and end dates for term codes, and you rotate the scenario if a rotation is defined. Also, you cannot commit a scenario from a previous year.

  1. Click OK.This is now the schedule for the date range defined in the scenario’s "Start date" and "End date" fields.

Note: A checkmark appears next to the committed scenario’s name.

To print student and teacher schedules, click the Workspace tab, then click the Reports menu.

To view all student and teacher schedules, log on to the School view, then click the Schedule tab, Schedules side-tab.
