When the schedule engine stops building the schedule, it tells you which section cannot be scheduled.
Click the Analysis side-tab on the Workspace tab to figure out what needs to be fixed for that section to schedule.
- Click Section to view and modify the section attributes, course attributes, course sections, or course rules.
- Click Teacher to view and modify the teacher’s scheduling attributes, all sections of all courses assigned to this teacher, and any rules involving the teacher.
- Click Rooms to view and modify both the possible and eliminated rooms for this section.
- Click Patterns to view the eliminated patterns for this section and teacher, and to view the suggestions the system says to follow to resolve the issue with this section to be able to restart the build.
For example, assume the section cannot schedule because of a teacher unavailable rule. The page lists suggestions to fix this issue. You might click Teacher on the Analysis subtab to view and modify the unavailable rule created for the teacher
After you fix the issues with this section as suggested on the Patterns page, restart the build.
