Align teacher certification with teacher assignments

Your school can determine in its scheduling preferences to have the system check if a teacher is certified to teach a course you assign them to teach.

To do so, you need to define the certifications that are appropriate for a course. Then, when you assign a specific teacher to teach that course, the system checks that the teacher holds one of the certifications, and that it has not expired.

Note: Track teacher certifications in the Personnel view, on the Staff tab, Licenses side-tab.

To link a course to a certification:

  1. Log on to the District view.
  2. Click the Schedule tab.
  3. Select the course, and on the Courses side-tab, click Details.
  4. Click the Certificate sub-tab.
  5. Click Add to add a certificate required to teach the course. The Course Certification pop-up appears.
  6. Select the Subject matter area and the Instructional level.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Save.
