Calculate BMI for a student

When entering health screening information for a student, the system can calculate the student’s body mass index (BMI) based on height and weight.

The BMI calculation fields are included on the General Health Screening templateClosed a page with a predesigned, customized format, such as the Student Detail page.

To calculate BMI:

  1. Enter the student’s height in inches or centimeters.

    2. Note: You must enter both height and weight using the same system of measurement. For example, if you enter the height in centimeters, you must enter the weight in kilograms.
  1. Click Save.

Note: The system converts the height and weight to the other system of measurement for you to view. The BMI appears in the Body Mass Index field, and the BMI percentage appears in the Body Mass Index - Percentile field.
