Using the Filter Menu

Use the Filter menu Filter icon. to determine the group of records that appears on the page.

There are two types of filters:

  • Direct filters, such as Active Students, find all the records that meet the criteria at the time it is run.

  • Prompted filters, which have names ending with a question mark, ask the user to enter the criteria they want to use. For example, the prompted filter of Grade Level = ? will return different lists of students based on the grade level entered.

When you use a filter, the page displays a limited set of records. Select the All Records filter to view the complete set of records again.

In the top-right corner of each page, click Filter icon. and select Manage Filters to do the following:
